Who are you?

Photobucket

You people. I love getting comments from those of you who leave them. They make my day! But looking over that Google Friend Connect widget, I know there are so many of you that are a bit more shy about saying hello. But I want to get to know all of you! So I pose the following questions:

1. Who are you?

2. Where are you from? (you can be as specific or as vague as you feel comfortable being)

3. If you have a blog, what's it about? Even if you haven't written in it for half a year, it's still yours, and we'd love to see it! I mean, if you like my blog enough to subscribe to it, chances are we have things in common and I would like your blog too :)

4. Don't have a blog? Tell me what your favorite dessert is!

So let's hear it. I know you've never commented before. I know that maybe you're a little shy. I am too! I have this weird blinking thing when I get nervous around people. See? We're not so different. Say a word - as many or as few as you'd like! I want to meet you and share virtual cake with you. Even if you've only been reading a day, or you comment regularly/semi-regularly, I'm still down for cake. So pass your plates forward!

  1. Hi, I'm Rachel Anne. From MI originally, but now reside in Chicagoland.

I blog over at www.gooseandtrisser-blog.com mostly about my family and my life but a bit about my hand embroidered good shop of the same name. Currently there are tons of pics of my children, their curls, and their chubby legs floating around the front pages.

  6. Hello!

I'm Lea, of Becoming SuperMommy. I've been reading your blog for quite a while. I always want to comment just to say, "oooh! Pretty!" We're pretty much due-date buddies, too. ;)

I'm living in my ancestral homeland of Chicago, but I mostly grew up in Michigan.

I do have a blog. It's about my kids, my life, and me. Sort of. Mostly it's just where I write, and those are the things I tend to write about most. But it also occasionally has fairy tales and political diatribes (I try to avoid those) and history lessons. Because I'm not good at staying on message.

I don't know what my favorite dessert is! It's so hard to be universal! Like, I normally hate cheesecake, but there are SOME cheesecakes that are the BEST THING EVER. And I normally LOVE chocolate, but sometimes I'm really just plain not in the mood.

Everything you make looks awesome, though. I want to put fresh vanilla ice cream on your waffles.

...that sounded dirtier than I meant it to be.

My blog is full of my melancholy merry-making. This generally means: drawing with a sewing machine, photographing puddles, dressing my kids in ill-fitting clothing and finding black comedy in unlikely places. I am currently raising five children and one husband--trying to create a home and a world for us all to live happily ever after in. It's my documenting of the 'making' we do in my(our)daily life.

  8. Hi. I'm Sarah, also known to my followers as Shayes.

I am a former navy brat who currently hails from Northern Virginia (and plans to stay here for quite some time.)

My blog is Shades of Shayes (http://shayes08.blogspot.com). Currently it's under construction, as I will be unveiling a new design on Monday. It started out as a place to record the deep, philosophical revelations I had in my spiritual life, and has since evolved to a representation of all things in my life. I literally write about almost everything -- be it my current activities, a rant about online dating sites, my thoughts for the day, and of course, there is The Saga of Office Boy. :)

And my favorite dessert is chocolate covered strawberries. Even if my boyfriend insists that if it has fruit it's not a dessert.

I just started following the other day (at the recommendation of Hannah J. Holmes!), so it's nice to meet you. :)

  38. Greetings from the where ever it is that I am to where ever it is that you are. I am The Mighty Malcolm Lennox. A sage of importance the likes of which the world has never seen! Most people call me Malcolm but on occasion I have answered to 'you there! Yes you, standing over the whale with cutlery and a garden torch! Get out of here' and I tend to oblige. Nothing like cheesed off federal agent to put a crimp in an otherwise flat surfaced day.

Where was I going with that?

What was the question? Why are you in my bathroom?

I am one of those British people that thought "you know what... all this cold and rain is really starting to make me want to running over a crowd of people with a ride on lawn mower" so migrated to Britain's warmer, slightly more dangerous cousin. Then of course I realized that a chubby man who refuses to wear shorts or flip flops in 45 degree Celsius heat does not do well in a climate of this nature. But I was rooted deep into the infrastructure of Australian Life.

    My blog is at brainbiscuits.blogspot.com

It is comprised of non sensical rants not to dissimilar to this and over the next coming months will detail my adventures of motorcycling from one side of the country to the other with a stegosaurus on my back.

I LIKE VANILA ICE ICE CREAM! Vanilla ice cream reminds me that in a world of iGizmos and GoogleGoggles there are still somethings that are simple and glorious.

  39. Hello! My name is Ellie Raney and I am from Dallas, Texas. I live with my husband, almost 2 year old little boy and have a 22 week old baby in my belly. I have a rarely read blog about things that catch my eye, and of course, tiny bits of me and my family. The blog was my only idea in earning a little income as a stay at home mom, but it's two years later(with no results) and I'm brainstorming again.
I'm a new reader, but love what I see. Can't wait to catch up!

    1. Who are you? My name is Lindsy. I am a photographer. I have been married to a my husband for almost NINE years. He plays music in a touring band and we just became foster parents (hoping to adopt) to a little nugget named [on the internet, for his safety] Baby Bread.

    2. Where are you from? (you can be as specific or as vague as you feel comfortable being) - the great [rainy, beautiful] state of Washington!

    3. If you have a blog, what's it about? - It's about us! My husband blogs occasionally, too! The photos we take, the places we travel to. Our thoughts and prayers in this crazy transition from wild freedom to parenting a baby.

  46. Hello Naomi!
Oh, I know I'm a bit late, but I only got to know your blog today thanks to a post by Anka, from Happy Hang Around!
Your blog looks inspiring, it will be a pleasure following it, I'm sure :)

Well, I'm Ana and live in Porto, the second largest city of Portugal. Although I studied architecture in college and worked in this area for some years, I'm now taking my time to rediscover my passion for drawing/illustration and learn contemporary jewelry techniques, in order to become a jeweler.

Feel free to visit my own blog at http://www.anapina.com/. I love to write about my work, my city, all the things I love to do (traveling, cooking, reading, listening to music!) and all the things that inspire me - including interviewing other artists.

    All the best,
    Ana

    So here's mine:
    1. I am the child of Ibeth and Roberto.
    2. I live in the state of New York! The best part of living where I am now is that I'm one hour away from Montreal, Canada!
    3. My blog, my lover, my best friend right now is my blog. I have embraced it as not merely something to do, but a way to satiate my need to connect with people around me. It's called GlobeTracer and it basically chronicles my endeavors as a 26 year old. http://globetracer.wordpress.com

  48. I'm a little late to the cake party. I'll just take some of the icing left on the side. That's my favorite part anyway :)

I'm from the old town of Philadelphia, married, and in my late twenties. I'm fairly new to the blogosphere community, which is my nice way of saying that I have no idea what I'm doing. My husband totally teases me about writing on the internet. My blog... well it's about anything and everything. I don't even know if there's a category for it. It's just little slices of me, here and there. I really have no point or purpose. It's become more of an outlet for me to express my random thoughts!
